During his visit to the exhibition of knowledge-based companies at the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST), the President reviewed the latest achievements of two companies from the Golrang Pharmaceutical Group.
According to the public relations department of Golrang Pharmaceutical Group, Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, was accompanied by Mr. Simayi Sarraf, Minister of Science, Research, and Technology; Mr. Alireza Ashouri, Head of IROST; Mr. Abdolnaser Hemmati, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance; Seyed Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade; as well as Mr. Peyman Salehi and Mr. Shahiki, Deputy Ministers of Science, during his visit to IROST on Thursday.
The President engaged in discussions with Mr. Fathi, CEO of Varian Pharmed, and Ms. Behnoush Salehi, CEO of Soroush Mana Pharmed, while reviewing the latest achievements of these two knowledge-based companies under Golrang Pharmaceutical Holding.
During the visit, the President was briefed on the localization of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) such as Sacubitril, Valsartan, Telmisartan, Tetrabenazine, Duloxetine, and Hydrochloride by Soroush Mana Pharmed, as well as the development of a one-month slow-release Goserelin drug for the advanced treatment of prostate and breast cancer by Varian Pharmed.
It is worth noting that the knowledge-based companies Varian Pharmed and Soroush Mana Pharmed, part of Golrang Pharmaceutical Group, have research and development units within the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology.
