Visit of the Ambassador of Uruguay to Golrang Pharmaceutical Group Factories in Hamedan

The Ambassador of Uruguay visited the factories of Faran Shimi and Abian Darou Companies in Hamedan.

According to the Public Relations Office of Golrang Pharmaceutical Group, the Ambassador of Uruguay to the Islamic Republic of Iran paid an official visit on November 15–16, 2025 (24–25 Aban 1404) to the Faran Shimi and Abian Darou factories, two subsidiaries of Golrang Pharmaceutical Group, located in Hamedan Province.

The visit, attended by Mr. Vali Nejad, Deputy for Executive Affairs and Coordination, Ms. Sheida Mahnam, International Advisor to Golrang Pharmaceutical Holding, and the CEOs of Faran Shimi and Abian Darou, was aimed at becoming familiar with the production capacities, technical capabilities, and industrial standards of these companies.

During the two-day visit, Mr. Verado Nicola, Ambassador of Uruguay, toured the advanced production lines, technical equipment, and quality control processes, and presented a positive assessment of the level of technology and production standards at these facilities.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Ambassador stated that the information and assessments obtained would be conveyed to his country’s government in order to pave the way for the development of potential cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector and the establishment of commercial relations between the private sectors of the two countries.

He also described the competitive capacities of Iran’s pharmaceutical industry in international markets—particularly in terms of production quality and pricing advantages—as noteworthy, adding that if obstacles and issues related to financial exchanges and international transfers are resolved, broader commercial cooperation between Iranian and Uruguayan pharmaceutical companies would be possible.

At the end of the trip, the Ambassador of Uruguay described his visit to the production complexes of Golrang Pharmaceutical Group as valuable, and announced that he would share his findings and observations with other embassies and diplomatic missions of Latin American, African, Asian, and European countries to facilitate broader communication and cooperation with Iranian pharmaceutical companies.
